THE AWESOME HOUSE OF GOD
“Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, ‘Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it’. And he was afraid and said, ‘How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!’” (Gen 28:16,17)
Some churches in this end-time will be awesome places – a house of God—in which God’s awesome presence and glory will be manifested, places which He will visit time and again.
There are certain places that God and Jesus love to visit time and again. They seemed to be their favourite places. Some of these places, for example, are the Garden of Eden, Mount of Olives, Jerusalem, and the home of Mary and Lazarus. God visits the places which experience His constant visitation will truly become the awesome house of God.
The Awesome House of God is:
- A house built according to Divine pattern and principles. (Ex. 26:30)
- A house of prayer and intercession. (Matt. 21:13)
- A house of praise and worship. (1 Chron. 16:4)
- A house where the corporate anointing is generated/released. (2 Chron. 5:12,13)
- A house of His Presence, Power and Glory. (Ps. 29:2)
- A house of healing. (Matt. 21:4)
- A house of salvation.
- A place where God’s voice is clearly heard.
- A place with an open heaven. (Gen. 28:17)
- A place abounding with angelic manifestation. (Gen. 28:11-17)
- A place where conviction will be strong. (John 8:9)
- A place of shelter and refuge (Ps. 27:5)
- A place of life-transforming encounters with God.
- A place where God will set His eyes and heart. (1 Kings 9:3)
- A place of blessing. (Ps 84:4)
- A place where God’s glory dwells. (Ps. 26:8)
The awesome house of God is an exciting place. It’s a place where the Spirit of God moves powerfully. It’s a place where love abounds. It’s a place where prophetic revelation flows freely. It’s a place where heaven seems near. It’s a place where God is truly Lord and King. It’s a place where His glory abides!
And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory…And the glory of the Lord came into the temple by way of the gate which faces towards the east…and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the temple” (Ezekiel 43:2,4,5).
“I heard and my inward parts trembled, at the sound my lips quivered…and in my place I tremble…” (Hab. 3:16)
“…looked, and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord, and I fell on my face” (Ezekiel 44:4)
